How We Ensure Your Information Is Secure
WorkEasy maintains physical, electronic and managerial practices and procedures
designed to ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of customer
information. We limit and restrict access to customer information only to
those employees who need it to carry out their business functions, and educate
our employees about safeguarding customer information and preventing its unauthorized
access, disclosure, or use. WorkEasy employees with access to personal
information are also bound to adhere to this policy. WorkEasy will monitor
and adopt, as appropriate, new technological improvements that are designed to
aid in ensuring the accuracy and security of customer information.
Businesses utilizing our service
are provided access numbers, account numbers and passwords to access their
account information via telephone and/or on-line. Emails sent to
subscribers are not encrypted and have the same level of protection as general
emails. Customers may elect to have their personal voice mail messages
forwarded to their email address as a WAV file attachment in which case no
additional password protection is offered and security of voicemail to email
messages must be monitored by the subscriber.
Type of information collected
WorkEasy gathers customer information needed to provide superior service,
communicate important information about the service or new offerings which we believe
will be of interest to you, and to administer to our business. In order to
best serve you, we may gather information from you in a few instances.
When you
visit our site, we may collect non-personally identifiable information from you
through the use of computer "cookies". A cookie
is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and
stored on your computer's hard drive. WorkEasy uses non-identifying cookies to
provide easier site navigation and access to forms. You can still use the
WorkEasy sites if your browser is set to reject cookies. Our cookies do not
generate personal data, do not read personal data from your machine and are
never tied to anything that could be used to identify you. Additional information
regarding computer cookies and how to disable them is described further below.
When
you subscribe for service, we will ask you to voluntarily provide certain
personally identifiable information, such as, your name and the names of
others to be on your account, telephone
and facsimile numbers, e-mail addresses, a security password for personal verification,
billing and credit card information. We need this information in order to
fulfill your order and notify you of your account status. WorkEasy may also collect
general business information, some of which could constitute personal information,
to assist you in tailor fitting a solution to your businesses specific needs.
WorkEasy
does not collect or maintain information from those actually known to be under
the age of 18, and no part of our sites are structured to attract anyone under
the age of 18.
How Personal Information Is Used
Unless you consent, we will not use your personal information for any purpose
other than that for which it is submitted. We use personal information to fill
requests for service, reply to inquiries, handle troubles in service, provide
operational notices and in program record-keeping. We also use it to process
billing and business requests related to service use. At certain points where
personal information is collected on our site, there may be a box where you may
indicate that you would like to be on a list to receive information about other
WorkEasy offerings and services. At any time you can add or remove your name
from a WorkEasy list by contacting us at service@workeasy.com.
How Your Information May Be Shared
In order to submit a trouble ticket to report a problem with your telephone
service, WorkEasy may have to share your telephone number, assigned toll free access
number and contact name with your local Bell Operating Company or our Long
Distance Carrier MCI WorldCom. The purpose of sharing this information is
to resolve a reported telephone related problem only.
WorkEasy
may release personal information to appropriate governmental authorities under
the following circumstances:

release is required by law (for example, a subpoena) or regulation, or is
requested by a government agency conducting investigations or proceedings;

Where
our records indicate a company may be engaged in fraudulent activity or
other deceptive practices that a governmental agency should be made aware
of;

your communication suggests possible harm to others.
